Colorado Liposuction

Does the following sound familiar? You go to the gym, do exercise, nearly killing yourself with extreme regimes. You try this diet here, that diet over there and still nothing seems to work. Would you like an easier way to shape up? Aspen Laser Spa introduces Colorado Liposuction.

If you feel bad because of

Ø  those fat deposits around the belly,

Ø  stubborn inches in the buttocks area,

Ø  fat that never goes away no matter what,

then, a lipo might be the fastest solution. After a short surgical intervention that lasts two to three hours, depending on the treated area, you'll feel forever free of those stubborn inches.

Men and women can benefit from Laser Spa's Colorado Liposuction. Let's see what these benefits (and inconveniences, if any) are.

Recommended or Not?

First of all, as with any surgery, liposuction has some side effects and a few risks. There's always a small chance of infection, inflammation and blood clots. Sometimes, patients need a second surgery to correct irregular shapes after a first lipo. The most common side effect is temporal bruises.

Liposuction is not for everybody. Patients must have less than 30 pounds beyond their ideal weight and need a healthy immune system. After a short consultation, the doctor will determine whether the patient is a suitable candidate for the treatment or not.

Most lipo surgeries involve these areas:

·         Belly

·         Neck

·         Hips

·         Breasts

·         Thighs

·         Buttocks

·         Face

·         Arms

At the chosen clinic, the surgeon removes fat deposited underneath the dermis and above the muscles and sculpts the body shape the patient desires.

ü  Usually, more than one area can be treated during a single session.

ü  Most surgical operations take 45 minutes to 3 hours.

ü  Patients go back to their daily activities the next day.

ü  Colorado liposuction offers a permanent solution. Once the fat cells are gone, the body can't store fat in the same area.

ü  When combined with the Colorado Smart Lipo, the technique stimulates the production of collagen, resulting in tighter skin!

Treatment begins with a demarcation of the areas to be treated. The doctor draws a "topographical map" on the skin with a blue marker. Later, he'll use these lines as guides to inject an anesthetic and to cut a small incision.

After injecting an anesthetic fluid-a saline solution with lidocaine, a numbing agent-, the surgeon begins the liposuction. Most patients report they felt the most discomfort while they were being applied local anesthesia. After that, they are awake and witness the whole process without pain.

Once the local anesthetic has made its effect, the surgeon makes a tiny incision, about 2 millimeters long; and then inserts a thin rigid tube, called cannula, through it.

The next step consists in rupturing the membranes of the fat cell. This is achieved with strong and rapid back and forth movements of the cannula parallel to the skin surface.

Colorado Liposuction and Smart Lipo

If performing a Smart Lipo (a laser-assisted liposuction), an optical fiber is inserted in the cannula to aim the laser beam towards the undesired fatty tissue. (You'll find more information about the Colorado Smart Lipo procedure on this website.)

The action of the cannula breaks down the fat cells and their oily content percolates into the intercellular space. A vacuum container, attached to the other end of the cannula, collects the fatty oils. Meanwhile, the skin drops significantly and becomes a little loose.

When a laser beam is used to assist a liposuction session, the heat induces the production of an important protein, collagen, responsible for the firmness of the skin. Hence, Smart-Lipo patients end up with tighter skins in the treated areas, even if they lost several inches of fat tissue.

No stitches needed!

Being so small, the incisions don't need stitches and heal without visible scars. If the surgeon was skilled enough, they disappear without trace two or three days later. Often, surgeons make these incisions under skin folds for extra post-surgery invisibility.

Typically, Colorado liposuction patients can resume their daily activities the next day.

Permanent Results

When you eat more energy than your body can use, the body converts excess energy into oil that can be deposited inside fat cells. In other words, fat cells behave like mere storage compartments. They swell like balloons and accept more fat. And more. And more.

Fortunately,

...there are only a finite number of fat cells!

Until puberty, your body was creating these containers; but later it stopped producing them. This is very important, because it means that a treated area will never again accept any more fat for storage. Patients who develop healthy eating and exercising habits will remain in shape; those who gain weight after surgery will notice fat in other areas where there are still fat containers.

Hopefully, you now have a clear idea of the Colorado liposuction technique as we use it at Laser Spa. There's no need to almost kill yourself with extreme regimes. When exercise is not enough, you can count on us.
